Recognition of qualifications obtained outside of France :

If the status of guidance counsellor is a status of civil servant, as it is the case for counsellors depending on the Ministry of Education, individuals coming from other EU countries as long as they have a degree of psychology can be allowed to sit for the recruitment competitive exam. For other recruitments, a degree in career counselling, sociology, psychology obtained in an other EU country can be considered. "Career counsellor" or "guidance counsellor" in France are not regulated professions.
