Recognition of Qualifications Obtained Outside of the Country
If the status of guidance counsellor is a status of civil servant, as it I the case for counsellors depending on the Ministry of Education individuals coming from other EU countries as long as they have a degree of psychology can be allowed to sit for the recruitment competitive exam. For other recruitments, a degree in career counselling , sociology , psychology obtained in an other EU country can be considered. A career counsellor or a guidance counsellor in France are not regulated professions.
